Shrimp Cult Press does not publish – in our books, website, or social media – any text or images that are created by generative AI tools. We believe that stories are works of shared humanity, not a cheap trick for maximizing profit for large tech companies. We believe in supporting human artists who create real work, and that those artists should be able to support themselves from the sale of their hard work.

Art is already democratized. Go pick up a pencil and learn, like we have. We’ll help you! Generative AI was never about democratization. It’s about consolidating the ability to profit from art so that tech companies can be the only ones able to compete. We stand against that. And if you want to make art the honest way, the human way, we’re here to help you.
