AI is a powerful tool for a lot of things. Unfortunately, AI art samples from existing artist's work without credit or payment. AI art also threatens to turn entertainment art into a subscription service offered by a handful of software companies rather than a form of intentional human expression. As a society, we have to decide whether we will code ourselves out of relevance, or whether we will draw lines that leave room for our humanity.

At Shrimp Cult Press, we are committed to only publishing art by people, not by AI models or programs. We may use digital tools, but the writing and images we publish come directly from the minds of people, and not from the minds of machines.
